1919-23 An in depth M & U collection + a few covers from an earlier period displayed to exhibition standard on dedicated leaves, from 1919 a block of four Russian 3r50 stamps, tied with Baku c.d.s's. National Republic issues from Oct 1919 with 10k-50k values - both types perf/imperf with type 1 SC.1A/10A FU on registered cover. 1920-22 Soviet Republic issues, full ranges incl. 3000r in block of four with tete beche pair. Famine Relief pair in blocks of four, cancelled Baku. Further issues in depth with a study of local control h/stamp & machine surcharges with scarce variations noticed, 1923 Transcaucasian Federation of Soviet Republics with Russian values hand stamps + more incl. interesting postal history with two Russian postal stationery cards dated 1906 & 1909 - both from Baku. A 1915 cover from Baku to The Danish Red Cross in Copenhagen. There is much more material than mentioned here, from an area that does not turn up very often.
