1850 (24 Jun) & 1856 (25 July) two Ship Letters ex the same correspondence from the US to County Armagh, Ireland, the first from Baltimore with red 'AMERICA/PAID/LIVERPOOL' (7 July) c.d.s, the latter from New York (23 July) with blue 'AMERICA/PAID/DUBLIN' c.d.s. dated 4th Aug (Robertson Pl.1, Cat. £50 in 1958), age marks & damage to the 1850 letter, nevertheless an interesting & appealing pair. 1872 1d red Pl.135, affixed to a triangular entire to Glasgow from Glengariff Castle, reverse bears Bantry & Castletown Blue Haven c.d.s's & Glasgow c.d.s, stamp is additionally tied by red sealing wax. Unusual item. (1) £50 to 70 £50.00
