424   Geo V 1897 pattern Infantry Officers sword, the blade etched with the original owners name 'C S Blackwood, DLI'. C S Blackwood was first commissioned 2nd Lieutenant 9th Bttn. DLI 2nd September 1915 & promoted Lieutenant 1st June 1916. In addition to seeing service with the 9th Durham Blackwood was for a time also attached to the 5th Bttn.
