1697 shilling, third bust, a spectacular coin, almost UNC with a superb, rich 'rainbow' tone over reflective surfaces, S3505. £500 to 600 N/S

1699 shilling, fourth bust 'flaming hair,' GVF, very rare in the higher grades, S3515. £500 to 600 £460.00

1700 shilling, UNC with a deep rich old cabinet - tone over prooflike surfaces, light cabinet friction on the higher points. A choice and desirable example. £500 to 600 £460.00

1696 pattern sixpence of second bust general 'type,' but with finer 'cascading hair' detail and tall narrow bust as on the crown illustrated at Spink 3471 in the standard catalogue and Linecar 3 lower illustration (note that the normal second bust sixpences resemble Linecar 3 upper illustration). This coin is also of the same style as ESC 540, the unique halfcrown (R7) illustrated on page 67, ESC. We understand there exists one other recorded specimen of this great rarity, totally unknown when the most recent ESC was published. Very fine and of the highest rarity. £3000 to 5000 £4800.00
