1601 (July) letter to 'Filippo Bartolomeo Corsini', 'Firenze' dealing with monies due to the Corsinis by Vincento Guadagni of Venice, to be settled at the next Piacenza Fair, endorsed on reverse 'Agusto' & the rates of exchange agreed. Very fine. The Piacenza Fairs were held at least four times each year, when the merchants & bankers of Europe met to agree rates of exchange & settle outstanding debts. £140.00 N/S

Highlights 1910 Garibaldi, 1922 Congress Trieste, 1923 Congregation, 1923 Manzoni (3 values), 1924 Victory opts, 1926-28 Airs, 1926/28/30 Opera sets, 1929 Montecassino, 1930 Virgil, 1932 Dante, 1934 Football, 1934 Centenary, 1935 Vincenzo, 1936 Orazio, 1937 Infants + Airs, 1884 Parcel Post set & 1913-28 Pneumatic Vaglia etc. There are also several highly catalogued 'suspect' items such as 1879 Umberto 30c, 1933 Zeppelins, 1933 Triptych & 1934 Rome - Mogadiscio set Cat. approx. €10,000.
