1847 Ap.1 cover from Kenmare to Dublin franked 1841 1d red brown EG tied by the olive yeloow '260 obliterator of Kenmare, two huge margins, top cut close, left side cut into, light archive fold crosses adhesive at top (this particular olive yellowish has been caused by an excess of linseed oil in the mixture, Kenmare P.O is recorded to have used blue, green & black obliterating ink), Macdonnell Whyte Cert accompanies, Cat. £6500, Ex. 1844 cover from Ireland to London, franked with 1d red brown Pl.39 AL/CL - vertical corner marginal strip of three showing inscription 'the cement 39' cancelled Irish diamond numeral '14' for Ashford (Co. Wicklow), with manuscript '2' & 'More/To/Pay' alongside, back stamped blue Ashford 27.8.44 7 red Dublin 28.8.44 & London 29.8.44 d/stamps, rare, BPA Cert 2009. (1) £1200 to 1500 N/S

1852 (Aug 17) lengthy EL to Hamilton, Canada West via Liverpool - contents describe soldiers & voters stoned by mob etc. Obverse shows h.s. 2 in red, pair 2d blue imperfs. of 1841 with 10d brown embossed, all values cancelled LIMERICK diamond numerals with touching to huge margins. £200 to 250 £190.00
