1893 12c on 16c chestnut & blue variety inverted surcharge unused from the original ovpt on plate 1. The stamps, when discovered were defaced by a red bar, this bar has subsequently been removed leaving rubbing to the front surface of the stamp. BPA Cert.1948. HV Farmer in his handbook page 14 states that the stamps in perfect condition are from clandestine printing SG.16a, this is the correct catalogued stamp. £100 to 120 N/S
1893 15c on 16c Surcharge Inverted Die II M (slight adhesion), SG. 19a. Cat. £900 £225 to 275 £320.00

QV stationery incl. 18c on 30c provisional envelope used & unused, 1901 use of 6c reply card to Germany, KEVII 'specimen' small format 12c reg'd E, KGV 12c cover to UK, KGVI (2) etc. Also 1977 'postage paid' cachets (8). Mixed condition. (18) £60 to 70 £72.00

1912 12c blue registered postal stationery envelope 'H' size (202 x 127mm) additionally franked by 1917-22 12c grey (2) & used to USA in 1919 with fine strikes of Victoria Seychelles c.d.s. (SP 19.19) & Cincinnati back stamps. Minor faults but attractive & rare. (NB the lower stamp was originally affixed to the right of the upper stamp but was transferred to its present position before posting, otherwise it would have been largely obscured by the flap).
