1890 Newspaper wrapper franked 7k to Vladimer, tied by Porkov Railway P.O, also 1896 1k postal stationery wrapper uprated 1k from Kiev to Belgium, 1909 reg envelope (some peripheral faults) to Paris, franked two blocks of ten 3k, tied by Tsarskoie Selo c.d.s. of the Tsar's residence. £50 to 60 N/S
PO's in Crete 1899 Trident issue without stars in oval, 1m type 4, 2m type 2 & 1g type 4 - all printed in black on correct paper from the original plates, considered either proofs or specimens with a Peter Holcombe of Luzern Cert. (3 stamps + a Broad Leaf Forgery), rare group. £800 to 1000 £800.00

1917 Patriotic card - War Bond, posted Riga - nice condition. £40 to 60 N/S
1920 Russian Refugees Post General Wrangel's Army. An extensive M collection of Russian stamps opt, all nicely displayed in clear mounts on leaves, from the 1920 10,000r on 3.50k - 20,000r on 7r - 1st set SG.1/4. Arms of Russia 1909-18 with blue, black & red opts, varieties with inverted opts, a pair with missing value on lower stamp, further opts in blue with imperf, Romanov issue of 1913 Savings Bank values, General Denikin issues for S. Russia with blue, red & black opts. Stamps of the Russian PO's in the Turkish Empire ovpts reading 'Russian Post' stamps overprinted for the Ukraine with opts. Combined with Trident overprints incl. Odessa & Yekaterinoslav types. Finally issues for Wrangel's Army Refugee Post. A super lot with interesting varieties & four forgeries noted. The catalogue value should mount up. 1941 A fascinating 20k postcard with additional values sent from Leninabad to Bern, Switzerland, sent by a Pole, freed by the Amnesty in Sept 1941. Message in German, shows pmk Leninabad, Tashkent, Russian censor, card probably went via Iran, Lebanon, Egypt, Portugal & thence to Switzerland via the Red Cross, there is much information on this cover including articles from the British Journal of Russian Philately 62, 63.
