1878-79 Trials for Lighter and more Fugitive Colours 1d Plate 191, QD in deep mauve, touched to very large margins, fine. Spec. DP39a, Cat. £17,000 £1200 to 1500 £1400.00
1841 Small trial two pence blue, unused, large margins all sides, a trifle stained, fine & rare, Spec.DP43. (1) Cat. £1800 £600 to 700 £700.00

1878-79 Trials for Lighter and more Fugitive Colours, 2d Plate 15, in pale ultramarine lettered AB, from the top of the sheet showing the current number '227' and part of the marginal inscription 'Price 2d Per Label 2s Per Row of....' cut into at foot, with close to good margins on other sides, full original gum, mounted in the margin only. An important positional piece. Spec.DP50, Cat. £42,000. The companion stamp , AA was in the Royal Philatelic Collection and sold by Spink in May 2001. £5000 to 6000 N/S
