  1880-1900 (circa) engraved facsimile sheet of 32 impressions (8x4) the left & right halves identical, se-tenant rows of 8 of 1847 1d POST OFFICE, 1848-59 1d POST PAID early and worn impressions plus 1859 Sherwin re-engraved 2d, all in blue, on thick carton paper, the four engravings in each half are derived from a single die but then re-touched to produce differences in the portrait/background/shading/corner ornaments. A prior 'proof' stage in the production of the SENF typographic facsimiles which were presented to readers of the ILLUSTRIERTES BRIEFMARKEN-JOURNAL (see lbbotson pg.139) a most unusual item. £100 to 120 £100.00
