GENERAL GOVERNMENT 1939-45 by far the best collection we have ever handled, attractively displayed in ten Senator standard albums + folders featuring all the stamp issues with UM, M & FU + many extras incl. shades, varieties, proofs, sheetlets + some in complete sheets with marginal inscriptions. Ephemera incl. telegrams, documents, provisional issues plus a tremendous range of 700 covers/cards, virtually all written up. Some items of note stamp wise - 1941 10zl sheetlet both UM & U, many Hitler Heads Imperf with blocks of four, 1943 Copernicus Death Anniv marginal proof without date (Cat. Mi.650€) + the sheetlets of 8 (13 examples) with different plate numbers incl. globe varieties. 1944 Culture Fund 50 + 50gr Imperf marginal block of six (Cat. 900€), 1944 10 + 10zl (Mi.125) in UM sheetlets both Perf & Imperf + unused Perf x vertical Imperf sheetlet. There are various Officials Trials or Proofs, the set of three unused Mi.1/111 M (Cat. 600€), Radio Licence stamps incl. pair on card, Railway Feldpost (6 vals), Commodity Coupons, Secret Polish Post Newspaper stamps - very scarce. 1944 Liberation issues - Hitler Heads opt for Brwinow block of four expertised, Niezabitow (10 vals) FU, Wawolnica (15 vals) FU, Leki Szlacheckie (17 vals) incl. varieties, Falonica (10 vals) UM + 12gr postal stationery card unused. The covers & cards cover all aspects from Pre-Invasion with feldpost, rural & provisional cancels, covers from Government Offices with unusual postal markings & cancels, similar with paketkartes bearing military & customs cachets. Covers with scarce single stamp usage, some unpriced by Michel, there is an extensive range of postal stationery items with scarce printings. Items sent to Portugal heavily censored & checked for secret messages, propaganda cards, Lodz Ghetto items. Unusual items such as a General Government Cuff Band and a Deutsche Osten Post, postman's cloth badge. A super collection which needs to be viewed to be appreciated.
