BOER WAR & CHINA PHOTOGRAPHS 20thC large interesting photo groups of Boer War featuring military groups Boer & British with demonstrations at Cradock Cape Colony after Relief of Mafeking, several martial law passes from Cradock & East Somerset for road movement, military trains, horses, ladies groups, a hand written SEARCH PROCLAMATION, many small African camp scenes, also China of a later date incl. postcards. 1925 GOVT EXPERIMENTAL AIRMAIL SERVICE range of covers (7) incl. 1925 March 2nd Oudtshoorn - East London then re-franked & sent East London - Cape Town rare double first flight, another but flown Port Elizabeth - East London & East London - Cape Town, first flight Oudtshoorn - Cape Town mailed at Mossel Bay & on to London by sea from Cape Town. 12th flight Cape Town - Durban bears 3d air stamp with special cancellation, 14th flight Cape Town - Oudtshoorn & then flown on to Mossel Bay (2 ounces of mail only parachuted to the ground). Nice lot written up on leaves. £130 to 150 £150.00

GB (SG.428), official springbok cover Croydon Aerodrome - Kimberley, franked KGV 1s tied aerodrome c.d.s. (only 30 flown), official speedbird cover Croydon aerodrome - Salisbury (only 24 flown), another three to Bulawayo, Mpika & Broken Hill. £100 to 125 N/S

1932-33 range of first flight covers (8) incl. 1932 Jan 27th Imperial Airways Cape Town - Paris then on to Amsterdam, another but Johannesburg - London (Robertson cover) then on to Canada - scarce destination, 1933 Jan 2nd Union Airways Durban - Johannesburg, another but Durban - Germiston Station, 1933 Jan 2nd Durban - Johannesburg then on to Elisabethville via Broken Hill (Aero Club du Katanga) by Imperial Airways, 1934 July 31st Imperial Airways/SN Madagascar Cape Town - Tananarive postcard on to Mauritius - fully back stamped (rare to Mauritius), another but Johannesburg - Tete, Port E.
