Stamp auction - 10 November 2016
(realised prices)
|
Dear Customer
Welcome to our latest auction (Sale 163) initially scheduled for May then postponed owing to the pandemic. Now that lockdown has eased we can go ahead with our sale at the Britannia Hotel over two days instead of one
which will help us abide by the social distancing rules.
Viewing
We have taken two extra days at the hotel before the auction for viewing, which again will help with social distancing; we would recommend this as the best option.
If you wish to view the auction lots at our Newcastle offices you can do so from Monday 10th to Friday 21st August (weekdays) by appointment only.
Please ensure you bring a face mask/covering with you. Gloves will be provided and these must be worn at all times during viewing.
Attending the sale
If you are attending the auction in person, face masks/coverings must be worn.
When planning your journey, please bear in mind this sale is live on the internet and we generally achieve a rate of 200 lots per hour.
If you are feeling anxious about attending the sale, you can, as always, send your bids by post or email before the sale to be added to the book or you can bid live through Easylive Auctions. Easylive offer a
great option of a £3 flat fee, which allows you to bid on as many lots as you like with no other charges.
Bidding
Unfortunately we will be unable to offer our usual room bidder (boxed) lots which always prove to be popular with many of you.
The auction room numbers will be limited (maximum of 30 people). Therefore, we ask that bidders move in and out of the room accordingly. We understand customers may wish to bid on multiple lots but if
there is a space between your lot numbers please leave the room until ready to bid again.
Refreshments
Owing to regulations we are unable to provide our usual tea/coffee and sandwiches. However, customers can order from the main reception area of the hotel.
If you would like any other information regarding our sale please do not hesitate to contact us. Corbitts would like to thank you for your continued support.

Don't forget to also take a look at our online shop. Now open with well over 1000 items available for immediate purchase. Please note that items from this auction are not included in our online shop stock.
