1888 Bechuanaland 2d on 2d lilac & black (SG.42) and 1s green & black fault at upper right corner (SG.46), both cancelled with BONC ""638"" and manuscript 15/8/88 (underlined) with ""TAT"" underneath (together on a small piece), it is said that the writing was by the hand of Sam Edwards who was in charge of the TATI district at this time and acted as Postmaster. The item is illustrated in H.C.Dann's book and in all probability a postmark in his original collection. £1500 to 2000 N/S
