1897-99 GB 2/6d deep lilac, tied to piece by superb complete strike of Type 5 'AKASSA' d/stamp in violet, dated '4 NOV 1899.' The stamp with odd shortish perf mentioned for accuracy, but a splendid example, one of the best we have seen. Rare in this remarkable condition. SG.Z41. £150 to 200 £270.00

1898-99 piece with GB ½d vermilion horizontal pair, tied by VF complete strike of Type 4 'BURUTU' boxed d/stamp (seriffed capitals) in violet - choice quality, also GB 2½d Jubilee tied to piece from a campaign cover (m/s endorsement under the stamp) by very fine complete strike of Type 4 ;BURUTU' d/stamp (serrifed caps) in violet dated '9 JAN 1898' and subsequently on arrival by British '84' numeral. Interesting item being the earliest recorded date of use of this d/stamp. (2) £80 to 100 £105.00
