1841 1d red Plate 39 EI cancelled and tied by fair strike of the dulll blue MX to a clean uncreased entire letter sent December 1843 from Preston (town datestamp in same blue as MX on reverse) to Blackburn. The adhesive has three large margins but slightly cut into at base. A good average example of this well known coloured Maltese Cross and a neat clean usage, SG Cat £1500
